Am I The Body?

In “From The I To The Absolute: A Seven Step Journey To Reality” by Floyd Henderson, the self-inquiry question is posed “Am I the body?”  Does the sense “I am” or “I exist” arise from the body?  Floyd goes on to ask:

Would you still be you if you lose your right arm?  Yes.
Would you still be you if you also lost your left arm?  Yes.
Would you still be you if you also lost your right leg?  Yes.
Would you still be you if you also lost your left leg?  Yes.
Would you still be you if you also had a heart transplant?  Yes.
Would you still be you if you also had a lung transplant?  Yes.

When I think about this, not only would I still be me, but I would still be me 100%.  My sense of me would not lessen as limbs and organs are removed.  Even if half of my body is removed, I remain whole and completely me.  I am fully present regardless of the state of my body.  What is it that remains after the body parts are gone that is sensing that presence?  What is aware of that presence?
